Choice Partners with Houston Food Bank to Donate Meals for Hungry Families
HOUSTON (August 22, 2019) – Choice Energy Management continues its ‘Meal for Deal’ campaign in partnership with the Houston Food Bank to raise awareness and funds to help feed hungry families in the Houston area.
The “Meal for Deal” campaign is an effort for Choice to close monthly energy consulting deals with clients looking to reduce energy costs within their organization. Choice will donate a portion of its monthly sales revenue to the Houston Food Bank to provide meals to those in need.
Choice has is continuing the campaign that has provided funding for 30,000 meals over the last two years. Through “Meal for Deal,” Choice will aim to secure 1,300 meals a month through 2019, totaling another 15,000 meals.
According to Houston Food Bank, in 2018, they were able to distribute 100 million meals to those in need. The Houston Food Bank also streamlines services and helps clients access the information, resources and tools they need to become more self-sufficient. These services include free health screenings, health-education classes and helping them connect to the health care system.
